2005年開始在自主創辦的漫畫展中創作作品展齣，2008年開始進入商業插圖領域，代錶作品有《不可思議的鏡子》係列（講談社）、《櫻花色的季節》（蒲蒲蘭齣版社）等。
與畫材品牌荷爾拜因（Holbein）閤作的《荷爾拜因× 友風子 透明水彩顔料12色套裝》、《塗色水彩畫BOOK》進入市場銷售。
