評分##算是初級版的Girl on the train(或者說, elderly lady on the train...)，盡管鄉村老宅的生活情景是個亮點，案件也算新奇，但推理並不嚴密，而且結論也無法讓人滿意。一個小彩蛋是對英倫第一女管傢的一段描述，比如：病榻上的馬普爾小姐，看到女管傢用正確的方式打理馬普爾小姐花園裏的甜豆，立刻放下心來，肺病也好瞭大半...簡直像發生在我自己身上一樣真實。
