Readers are never told that Pocahontas's marriage to John Rolfe had brought a temporary peace. Save youngsters from frustration and consider reading Ingri and Edgar D'Aulaire's Pocahontas (Doubleday, 1989) aloud, since there are still no accessible beginning-to-read biographies featuring this woman."
