相传远古时代，月光庭园有守山神灵出没。智异山的守护神九月灵，因为充满了好奇心而经常往返於人类的世界。九月灵坐在树上欣赏着春华馆千秀莲的五鼓舞表演，看见了因父亲被赵观雄诬陷叛国继而斩首，尹淑化和弟弟以及丫鬟淡儿被卖到了春华馆，淑化抵死不肯踏进春华馆一步，千秀莲为了让她屈服，强行脱掉了她的外衣，让淑化只着亵衣绑在门口的树上，九月灵看着这一切发生，被淑化的倔强所震惊，但他知道自己不能干预人类的宿命，只能默默地看着。

　　真的，如果故事完结在（或者说作者死在）宇宙尽头的餐馆或者亚瑟被送去学鸟语或者他们举起那个海豚送的鱼缸，我都不会这么绝望（比马文还绝望！），可偏偏是《基本无害》……多大的歉意才能弥补那种两眼一抹黑的绝望！
