It is filled with the amazing photography that National Geographic is so well known for. Every page is filled with pictures. The questions are divided up into categories: Amazing Me, How Things Work, Animals All Around, and Wonder of the World. Questions range from "why do I have a belly button?" to "why do owls throw up?" Each question is covered on a full page or on a two page spread. The answers to the questions feature photos, captions, answers in a short text, experiments, and diagrams. Back matter includes parent tips with extra information, a glossary, additional reading, websites, and an index. This is highly recommended for the home library and would make a great gift for a young inquisitive child who cannot yet handle lengthy text. It would also make a great addition to a classroom library where it could be used to help students see how to create a research question and go about displaying the answer using different nonfiction text features."
