Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

评分Can't believe it was my first time to read the original book of HP. It was funny, imaginative, creative and easy to read. Compared with the movie, it had more details and was more complete; for Neville who became brave in the end, the storyline was more reasonable. But movie was also influential as what I can imagine was just the scene from it.

评分##我了个去，大学时JK罗琳出一本看一本，觉得确实不错，但是没到那个程度。现在30+的中年妇女了，重新第一本开始看英文版，我靠这TM写得太好了啊！各种细微差别的英文单词的行云流水一般的运用，明明看到的文字，却好像眼前真的是动态的画面。上一次出现这样情况是好多年前第一次看三国的时候了。。罗琳真的是有点牛逼的，无怪乎哈利波特系列能取得这么大的成功。

评分##2021.03#09 渐入佳境,为Porter三人的友谊,为他们的勇气,为他们的智慧…一章一章的书看起来感觉人物形象更加丰满了,然后也有了自己想象中的人物形象以及环境…so amazing…感觉书里的Porter更加real了,也是一个真正的小可怜然后逐渐在成长,也会有嫉妒伤心悔恨害怕,并不是自己想象中的所谓"男主角"…然后邓布利多好可爱…最后为Gryffindor颁奖的时候代入感也太强了,泪目????
评分##对我的英文阅读速度感到绝望，kindle推荐时间4h40min，我大概看了有9h。
