Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: if he doesn’t play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone’s business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he’s been emailing, will be compromised.
With some messy dynamics emerging in his once tight-knit group of friends, and his email correspondence with Blue growing more flirtatious every day, Simon’s junior year has suddenly gotten all kinds of complicated. 評分##小說裏提到Simon懷疑過Blue會不會就是Martin，我看電影的時候真的也一度這麼猜想過...並且也挺心疼和喜歡Martin這個角色，但在小說裏其實不隻是他，很多配角都沒能像電影改編那樣有閃光點，並且Blue現身的後續情節雖然比電影豐富但也甜膩得讓人有點想翻白眼【
評分##真的是好甜好可愛啊，從中間開始一路輕鬆愉悅，讀起來滿臉微笑。電影改編得跟書還蠻不一樣的。
