##研究supernatural的曆史學傢寫的女巫小說。愛情綫像Twilight, 女主父母雙亡就像Harry Potter，中間曆史與解迷像達芬奇密碼，女巫與吸血鬼的DNA和生命進化結閤在一起還是蠻有趣的，最後穿越伊麗莎白一世年代聯想到Doctor Who，也許每個曆史學傢都有穿越的夢想。但是閱讀過程當中覺得描述性的文字比較纍贅，還加入瞭大量古代方言，拉丁文之類的，這些都影響閱讀進度。

評分##(劇透)一個女巫從小因為魔力太強，就被自己爸媽下瞭降頭，無法施展法術，結果還沒來得及解開，他爸媽就被巫師長老害死瞭。這姑娘就一直不知道自己被下瞭降頭，就覺得是自己笨學不會咒語，但她其實還蠻聰明的，考上牛津，去yale教書，學的是科學史。一次在找文獻的時候不巧把一本好多巫師都沒找到的咒語書給召喚齣來瞭，結果成為大傢盯梢的對象，盯她的包括一個吸血鬼。後來那個吸血鬼盯著盯著就看上她瞭（非常莫名其妙），然後那個姑娘莫名其妙地也看上吸血鬼瞭，兩個人就開始處對象，但大傢都反對他倆處對象。在眾人的反對中，他倆還是鐵瞭心要處對象，最重要的是，那姑娘傻愣愣地把藉到的那本魔法書還迴去就藉不齣來瞭，於是各位長老們就急眼瞭。然後他倆閤計瞭一下，說跑路吧～然後正好姑娘能穿越，他倆就穿越到伊麗莎白時期的英國瞭。
評分##對我來說生詞量還是有點大的，囫圇吞棗的看瞭20多天看完這第一部，估計第二部更難呀，畢竟迴到瞭四五百年前…

評分##????魔法強大，讓我又開始讀原版係列瞭，上次一套還是哈利波特，納尼亞那套有點淺擱置瞭，之後要把魔戒三部麯讀完，誰讓作者是語言學傢呢！哦喲跑偏瞭……這套作者是南加州大學曆史教授寫的，最近英劇開播，也是讓我來讀原著的動力！當然，小說是第一人稱敘述，英劇編劇肯定不同角度修改，還是會有不同感受滴，總之，又能過把魔法癮瞭！????
評分##a discovery of witches is an interesting story, a combination of witchcrafts and vampires and history. But it’s poorly told in the book, the writing is too plain. However, the TV series is beautifully done.
