在此之前，費曼發現自己總是跟貝特唱反調。貝特當時已經是一位知名度較高、很受尊敬的物理學傢。當貝特說齣一個費曼不同意的觀點時，費曼總是公開地強烈地錶示反對。經過貝特耐心解釋他的推理過程，費曼纔能平靜下來。可是等到下次觀點齣現分歧時，這個過程又會重復一遍。貝特一點也不生氣，相反，費曼深入的思維給他留下瞭很好的印象，因此他對費曼産生瞭一種尊敬。貝特讓費曼到自己手下來工作，讓他做瞭計算組的組長。於是費曼成瞭幾位組長當中最年輕的一位。在那個時候，所有的計算都是由人工完成的，要使用對數錶和笨重的機械計算器。在費曼的領導下，計算組的工作效率大幅度提高，老科學傢們的工作都要依賴這些計算結果，所以他們對費曼的工作非常滿意。

費曼是舉世聞名的物理大師，齣色的老師，我們不知道有多幸運能用他的教材去學習物理。本人數學係，但久仰費曼大名外加愛好物理，花220大洋湊齊這套全集真是值。順便說一聲，能看英文版就不要看中文版。
