　　 《魯濱孫漂流記》講述這樣一個故事：主人公魯濱孫齣身在一個體麵的商人傢庭，他不安於閑適平淡的生活，一心想去海外見識一番。他瞞著父親齣海曆險，航行就遇到大風浪，船隻沉沒，他好不容易纔得以逃生。第二次齣海到非洲經商，賺瞭一筆錢。第三次又遭不幸，被摩爾人俘虜，當瞭奴隸。後來他劃主人的小船逃跑，途中被一艘葡萄牙貨船所救，船到巴西後，他在那裏買下一個莊園，做瞭莊園主。他不甘心於這樣的發財緻富，又一次齣海，到非洲販賣奴隸。在前往非洲的旅途中遇難，流落荒島。他憑藉勤勞的雙手、堅忍不拔的毅力和善於思索的大腦，居然在杳無人煙的荒島上生存下來。從挖洞居住、獵野味為食，度過最初的難關開始，到種植糧食，自製工具加工麵粉、烘製麵包，馴養山羊，采摘葡萄製作葡萄乾，製作陶器滿足生活需要，住上瞭自己建造的房子，魯濱孫在島上獨自生活瞭24年，直到從吃人生番手中救下一個土人——“星期五”，後來，又救下一個西班牙人和“星期五”的父親。最後，他搭乘一艘英國船返迴英國。
　　 《魯濱孫漂流記》流傳二百九十年，至今魅力不衰，主要原因是它錶達瞭個人通過努力，靠自己的智慧和勇敢戰勝睏難的思想，並錶現瞭當時追求冒險，倡導個人奮鬥的社會風氣。小說情節麯摺，采用自述方式，讀來饒有趣味。

作者簡介

笛福（1660-1731），英國作傢，新聞記者，小冊子作者。英國啓濛時期現實主義小說的奠基人，被譽為“小說之父”。
笛福生於英國倫敦，父親從事屠宰業，信奉不同於國教的長老會。笛福原姓福，1703年後自稱笛福。他受過中等教育，但沒有受過大學古典文學教育。他一直保持不同於國教信仰的立場，政治上傾嚮於輝格黨。二十多歲時，笛福已是倫敦一個體麵的商人，經營過內衣、煙酒業等等，到過歐洲大陸。1692年經商破産而以其他方式謀生。他給政府當過情報員，設計過開發事業。他還從事寫作，早年以寫政論文和諷刺詩著稱，反對封建專製，主張發展資本主義工商業。1698年他發錶瞭《論開發》，建議修築公路，開辦銀行，徵收所得稅，舉辦水火保險，設立瘋人院，創辦女學等。1702年他在政論文《消滅不同教派的捷徑》中用反語諷刺政府的宗教歧視政策，猛烈抨擊托利黨當局迫害不同教派，由於文筆巧妙，開始未被識破，發覺後被捕入獄6個月，並受枷刑示眾，笛福在獄中針鋒相對寫瞭詩歌《枷刑頌》諷刺法律的不公。1704年至1713年主辦瞭雜誌《法國時事評論》。1719年笛福發錶瞭他的第一部小說《魯濱孫漂流記》，大受讀者歡迎。接著齣版瞭《魯濱孫漂流續記》。
