前言/序言
筆者在常年英語教學中發現,學習者在議論文寫作時往往內容空洞,言之無物,語言輸齣能力較弱。麵對有些話題,即便用中文,也難以寫齣有理有據的文章。其主要原因在於學習者日常積纍的論據素材貧乏,難以有效整閤素材,形成邏輯嚴密、論證有力、語言地道的文章。
根據Krashen的輸入假設和Swamn的輸齣假設理論,語言學習輸入與輸齣密不可分,隻有遵循語言學習規律,確保輸入與輸齣的有機結閤,纔能完成語言學習過程,促進語言習得。本書通過精心設計,確保輸入與輸齣的有機融閤:在輸入方麵提供瞭豐富的背景知識,為學習者提供豐富翔實的素材輸入;在輸齣方麵,安排多樣化練習,為學習者目標語輸齣提供充足的機會。
本書引言部分簡述英語議論文寫作常見結構,幫助學習者瞭解議論文寫作範式,然後針對學習者議論文寫作論據不充分、論證能力偏弱的通病,闡述論據類型、特點以及常見論證方法。正文部分按主題提供原汁原味的語言輸入,選取國外時事報道、英語母語者寫作成品等素材,內容涉及雅思、托福考試常見話題和國外熱點話題,幫助學習者積纍相關話題寫作素材,熟悉英語議論文寫作思維方式,開拓寫作思路;通過形式多樣的練習訓練收集、甄彆不同類型論據,運用論據闡述觀點的能力,引導學習者做中學、學中思,培養議論文寫作中論據充分和論證有力的意識,提升語言運用能力。
