C. S. Lewis (Clive Staples Lewis, 1898-1963) was one of the intellectual giants of the twentieth century and arguably one of the most influential writers of his day. He was a Fellow and Tutor in English Literature at Oxford University until 1954, when he was unanimously elected to the Chair of Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge University, a position he held until his retirement. He wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach a vast audience, and his works continue to attract thousands of new readers every year. His most distinguished and popular accomplishments include Mere Christianity, Out of the Silent Planet, The Great Divorce, The Screwtape Letters, and the universally acknowledged classics The Chronicles of Narnia. To date, the Narnia books have sold over 100 million copies and been transformed into three major motion pictures.

一直听说这书是经典，不过书比较小，是不是外国书都这么弄？

不妨当作《新约》童话版。谁让人家C.S.Lewis是老牌的圣经研究家呢...话说我是看了他别的著作才突然反应过来这个讨论圣经文学阐释的牛津家伙居然就是写纳尼亚的那人... 　　 　　里面基督教迹象太多了~且不说狮子阿斯兰如此明显地是耶稣基督的影子（启示录等多处地方都把基督比作狮子），其他好多地方（比如“亚当和夏娃的子孙”、以圣诞节来临作为胜利前兆、......）都是... 　　 　　虽然是童话，但是用了大量异象文学(Visionary Literature)的手法，象征无穷的多...所以就和一般的架空世界不太一样了。 4个小孩从一个衣柜进入了魔法世界，和狮子王一起消灭了邪恶的白女巫。 写于50年代，我看的时候有好多不认识的词。 故事写得不是很紧张，不像harry potter一样紧凑，但笔触还是很有感情的。
