作者簡介

　　查爾斯·狄更斯，英國最偉大的作傢之一，他1812年齣生於普茨茅斯，1870年去世。他齣身貧寒，但在不幸的童年過後，他很快便變得富有和成功。在他眾多的著名小說中有（霧都孤兒）、（遠大前程）及（聖誕歡歌）。

一直很喜歡狄更斯冷靜的社會觀點，和他充滿溫情的人道主義情懷，這本書的英文還是有一點難度的，比通俗小說的看起來費勁得多，適閤比較高階的英語學習。
