Abandoned by her husband, Amanda Wingfield comforts herself with recollections of her earlier, more gracious life in Blue Mountain when she was pursued by 'gentleman callers'. Her son Tom, a poet with a job in a warehouse, longs for adventure and escape from his mother's suffocating embrace, while Laura, her shy crippled daughter, has her glass menagerie and her memories. Amanda is desperate to find her daughter a husband, but when the long-awaited gentleman caller does arrive, Laura's romantic illusions are crushed.

评分##I didn't go to the moon, I went much further--for time is the longest distance between two places. /The scene is memory and is therefore nonrealistic. Memory takes a lot of poetic license. It omits some details; others are exaggerated, according to the emotional value of the articles it touches, for memory is seated predominantly in the heart.
评分这三天断断续续把这本看完。大师，您的人生确实是辛酸。读戏剧是从王尔德开始的，后来发现了田纳西。田老有蛮多部戏剧的，我目前买了2部。这本玻璃动物园是由通过作者在St. Louis时候的日子的生活改编成的戏剧。虽说整个篇幅没有任何一个细节然我有想落泪的冲动，但是田纳西曾经说过:"The saddest play I ever written. It's full of pain. It's painful for me to see it."剧中人物都在逃避着各自面对着他们的残酷的现实，只是逃避，没有对之做法抗。所以为什么田纳西会说这样的话可想而知。

评分##Tom的人物塑造还是比较单薄，可能他还不太想剖析自己吧；田纳西威廉姆斯的早年生活，出场角色只有四个，还不太成熟但很特别，看得出他对妹妹的怜爱。
评分##简单的故事 有张力的对手戏 对演员来说演起来应该是很爽的吧... 特别想看大佬说对白 看的时候脑子里都是他的声音...其实Laura在现在应该太多太常见了吧! 不过麻麻叫Amanda, 基友叫Jim的设定真的好么 脑洞就是这么被打开的!
评分##一般，远远比不上读的上两本田纳西精彩，比较平实，唯一亮眼的是摔断角的独角兽，"Is it broken?" "Now it is just like all the other horses."
