First Son Alex Claremont-Diaz is the closest thing to a prince this side of the Atlantic. With his intrepid sister and the Veep’s genius granddaughter, they’re the White House Trio, a beautiful millennial marketing strategy for his mother, President Ellen Claremont. International socialite duties do have downsides—namely, when photos of a confrontation with his longtime nemesis Prince Henry at a royal wedding leak to the tabloids and threaten American/British relations.
The plan for damage control: staging a fake friendship between the First Son and the Prince. Alex is busy enough handling his mother’s bloodthirsty opponents and his own political ambitions without an uptight royal slowing him down. But beneath Henry’s Prince Charming veneer, there’s a soft-hearted eccentric with a dry sense of humor and more than one ghost haunting him.
As President Claremont kicks off her reelection bid, Alex finds himself hurtling into a secret relationship with Henry that could derail the campaign and upend two nations. And Henry throws everything into question for Alex, an impulsive, charming guy who thought he knew everything: What is worth the sacrifice? How do you do all the good you can do? And, most importantly, how will history remember you?

评分##1作者真是亲妈，这里的王子设定还有一个哥哥作为第一顺位继承人，所以他可以放心大胆的想干嘛干嘛了。最近看的young royals的威廉小王子就比较惨了…作为王储要出柜真的有点难以实现。2看得出来作者对16年民主党寄予厚望，不知道作者看到希拉里落败于川普是什么感想….。作者貌似就是出生德州，希望有一天德州可以如她所愿翻蓝吧。3非常期待影视化！很有意思，可以再多探讨一些地缘政治！
评分 评分 评分##说实话读前半段我是整个人冒粉色泡泡的，整个设定过于可爱了, Hamilton reference， Ellen for president 哈哈哈哈哈哈， gay prince and white powder princess(hold my beer I need to tell them I understand that reference.gif) 其实读了一半就基本能猜到后面的剧情了，所以后半段真的不怎么好看。美国人喜闻乐见的玛丽苏，是真的苏，看得出来，作者是真的傻白甜。it’s a bubble but it’s soothing I guess, to the democrats. 微博上丢过 补一个note~ 天哪，这本书，是言语无法形容的那种好看。 中途我活活看哭了好几次，不是因为虐而是因为幸福你敢信！！那种“这是2019我们终于得到了一本早该拥有的神仙书”的喜悦！！ 先放着行云流水美妙无比的文笔不提，在这个环境下看到这本书，真的真的无比幸运。...
评分##这本虽满屏差评，但是我觉得比大部分的同题材要好太多。主要是不玛丽苏！没有以为全世界都围着转的又矫情又drama queen的主角。 作者文笔很好，背景是politics相关但很明显是了解过具体的体系结构，而不是只是一个傻白甜的设定框架。虽然是白宫风云版。 （去年看的，看了一半因为有事没看完就懒得继续了。）

评分##虽然有一些尴尬的情节和设定，并且小说最后2章大部分是作者对16年总统大选愤怒失望不满的发泄，但整体还是很喜欢，全程姨母笑看完。最心水王子了，可惜作者忙着完成对大选的意淫，导致王子戏份少了，不开森！希望作者写续集，从王子视角写，就写Alex和王子怎么结婚好了哈哈哈哈
