作者簡介
James Ward Brown,密歇根大學迪爾伯恩分校數學係榮休教授,美國數學會會士,入編《美國名人錄》和《世界名人錄》。1964年於密歇根大學獲得博士學位,1971年至2011年任密歇根大學教授,並於 1976年獲得密歇根大學傑齣教學奬。
Ruel V. Churchill(1899—1987 )生前是密歇根大學知名教授,於芝加哥大學取得理學學士學位,於密歇根大學取得物理學碩士及數學博士學位,自1922年起在密歇根大學執教。他從20世紀40年代開始 編寫一係列經典教材,除本書外,還與James Ward Rrown閤著有《Fourier Series and Boundary Value Problems》。
