作者简介

Michael Swan is a writer specializing in English Language teaching and reference materials. His many publications include Practical English Usage (OUP), the Cambridge English Course series (with Catherine Walter), and, also with Catherine Walter, the new Oxford English Grammar Course. Michael’s interests include pedagogic grammar, mother-tongue influence in second language acquisition, and the relationship between applied linguistic theory and classroom language-teaching practice. He has had extensive experience with adult learners, and has worked with teachers in many countries.

Catherine Walter is an experienced teacher, researcher, and materials writer. She has taught English in France, the UK, and the USA, and has worked with teachers in Europe, the Americas, and the Pacific Rim. She is now a Lecturer at the Department of Education, University of Oxford.Catherine is the co-author of The Good Grammar Book, which was Highly Commended in the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh English-Speaking Union Award in 2002, and How English Works which won the Award in 1997 (both with Michael Swan).Catherine was Chair of IATEFL from 1993 to 1995 and is the Chair of the English Language Advisory Group of the British Council. Her excellence in teaching and supporting of learning was recognised in 2008 with the award of a Higher Education Academy National Teaching Fellowship.

Oxford English Grammar Course: Advanced with Answers CD-ROM Pack和Oxford English Grammar Course: Intermediate with Answers(Book+CD)一起买的，书的质量非常好，纸张印刷什么的，里面是彩色的，有讲解的部分，有练习的部分，这个书有两个版本，一个是with answers的，一个是without answers的，不是很明白第二种的存在，因为这个答案是每一节练习的答案，坐完的肯定会想着要对一下的啊，没有答案的版本感觉好奇怪，价钱也不会便宜多少，而且这个书印刷的很有特色，前面的正文是一种纸张，答案部分的是另一种纸张，偏白的那种，刚刚收到的时候我还吓了一跳，以为书的印刷有问题呢，哈哈哈。。。书后的碟子放的地方设计很好，质量看着就不错，刚开始拿碟子费了好大的尽，后来才看清楚是插口的。。。。碟子里面的内容页很好，有做的有听力的，然后这个书其实还有一个oxford对应得网站，里面也有一些习题，网站的地址在书的前几页介绍里面有，对了，书还有一个很喜欢的地方，开头几页都是介绍书后面会用到的一些缩写或术语等，觉得编排很好，总之就是很喜欢这本书，本来想把3本一套买齐的，但是第一套一直没货，终于昨天看到进货了，就下手了，嘿嘿。。。最后，推荐这本书~

讲练结合，一本很不错的语法书。能从中学会最官方的英语语法，但是容易使英译汉的水平下降。
