以前看的都是中文，从大三的初学建筑史，到现在的大五。每次都是因为前三章无数未知的人名以及晦涩难懂的语言而暂且搁浅。现在买了原版，这几天一口气读了下来，其实发现本书从第二篇开始就渐渐好了起来，没那么难懂了，甚至还有些酣畅淋漓。

　　 B.过度膨胀的自我

　　最近各种竞赛不断，关注的点也常常是“蚁族”等我们在城市的生存空间问题。很多学生也常常关注，甚至热血澎湃的参与其中。从积极性上讲，这当然是件好事。但是，仅仅有积极性也并不意味着能解决问题。就像戴同学的“城市下的蛋”，既有想象力，更有实践力。但是，他确实不能作为我们的根本出路。这本书向我们展现了西方在一百年前和我们现在一样的困境。支持我一口气读完400多页书的，也常常是这样的感叹，原来这样的想法100年前就已经有了，甚至比我们现在做的还要好。

　　那对于我们的启示是什么呢？

　　但是，众所周知，我们是社会主义国家，但现代主义运动的100年后，我们的政府是否还想过，或者行动起来，为那些真正怀有社会主义理想的建筑师合作，并为他们提供支持呢？那我们的建筑师，也是否还有那100年前的激情去希望改变些什么呢？当然，我们现在的情况较之以前，一定更加复杂和多元。但不管怎样，首先，我们还是要有人把那些曾经的经验挖出来，重新进行分析和批判，从而为我们的实践进行有效的参照和参考，而不是把这种人类经验遗忘，从而盲目的“摸着石头过河”吧。至少我不想再听到一些留学生回来对我说：西方曾经在城市等方面走了一些弯路，但回国后很遗憾的发现，我们不但不吸取教训，甚至可能比当年西方走的更弯。

　　我想从两方面谈及我的这种感受，也就是书的主要的两个部分：A.批判地记叙现代建筑 B.作者的立场，即对批判的地域主义的毫不吝啬的赞扬。
