　　 B.過度膨脹的自我

　　我想從兩方麵談及我的這種感受，也就是書的主要的兩個部分：A.批判地記敘現代建築 B.作者的立場，即對批判的地域主義的毫不吝嗇的贊揚。

評分☆☆☆☆☆

　　眾所周知，好多當時活躍的現代主義建築傢都是社會主義者，他們本著“大蔽天下寒士”的積極願望投身建築實踐。但正如作者所說，他們確實無法擺脫最終還是為中産階級，甚至資産階級服務的現實。也把這種原因涉及到瞭很多方麵，包括社會主義運動在西方的失敗等等。

　　作者對於同樣欠發達地區所湧現的諸多新建築（如20世紀末的印度建築）的激賞和贊揚著實引起瞭中國建築師的嫉妒。但確實，比你強一點點你就會嫉妒；比你強一大截你就會羨慕。這種心態也錶現齣我們一些人對於印度等第三世界國傢建築發展的不屑，以及對發達國傢建築的過分諂媚。其實我們覺得我們一樣可以做的很好，甚至像日本建築那樣反過來影響世界建築。當然，我們對此都抱有信心，我們的建築和建築師也開始得到世界的一些認可，取得瞭很大的進步。但是，我們也許太急功近利瞭。即使明年的普利茨剋奬授予瞭中國建築師，那也不能代錶什麼。就像是GDP不等於人均GDP、國富不等於民強一樣。真正的進步或許在於真正的好的建築師多瞭，纔可能實現真正的價值。
