Kathryn Lasky is the American author of many critically acclaimed books, including several "Dear America" books, several "Royal Diaries" books, 1984 "Newbery Honor" winning Sugaring Time, "The Night Journey," and the "Guardians of Ga'hoole" series. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her next book, The Golden Tree, is set to be out in March 2007. She is married to Chris Night and lives in Boston, Massachusetts.

貓頭鷹絕大多數是夜行性動物，晝伏夜齣，白天隱匿於樹叢岩穴或屋簷中不易見到，但也有部分種類如斑頭鵂鶹"xiūliú"、縱紋腹小鴞和雕鴞等白天亦不安寂寞，常外齣活動；一貫夜行的種類，一旦在白天活動，常飛行顛簸不定有如醉酒。

貓頭鷹是色盲，也是唯一不能分辨顔色的鳥類，除瞭某些過慣瞭夜生活的鳥類，如貓頭鷹等，因為視網膜中沒有錐狀細胞，無法辨認色彩以外，許多飛禽都有色彩感覺。烏鴉在高空飛行需要找到降落的地方，顔色會幫助它們判斷距離和形狀，它們就能夠抓住空中飛的蟲子，在樹枝上輕輕降落。鳥類的辨色能力也有利於它們尋找配偶。試想，雄鳥常用艷麗的羽毛吸引異性，如果它們感受不到顔色，那雄鳥還有什麼魅力呢？

貓頭鷹王國的一本,自從第9本換瞭林考(考林)做瞭領袖,孩子不是很喜歡看瞭.不過希望接下來的故事能夠吸引他.京東的摺扣太讓人動心,所以,沒有考慮就都收迴瞭.
