　　如果把兩人書信中的那些謾罵的成分去掉（具體有：不值鄙視、厚顔無恥、一知半解的廢物、每一句話都是鬍扯、不成功的知識分子的典型産物，卑鄙、粗野、愚笨、半吊子的毫無價值的思想作品），剩下有價值的成分其實並不多。再把主觀性的意見去掉，例如沃格林說波普爾對本領域的研究成果視而不見，但他忽略瞭施特勞斯纔是以否定整個西方現代學術界著稱的，剩下的隻有兩條。一條是：波普爾的意識形態傾嚮太強瞭；另一條是：波普爾並沒有讀懂柏拉圖。

The stories in this edition were very helpful in showing the backstories of several cats. I started out feeling bad for Mapleshade and thought "well now understand why she became so bitter" but when she also turned to murder I quickly lost that empathy.
