這個很長的書名來自於村上春樹去年的新書，一如村上的風格，書的題目就是貌似平常，但卻富有意義，而且都是篇幅很長的啊。“巡禮之年”是李斯特的音樂作品，在書裏麵指的是多崎作尋找16年前的一件事情的真相。“沒有色彩”指的是多崎作的名字裏沒有代錶顔色的字眼。但多崎作是不是真的沒有色彩？看過小說之後，你就會明白！
