在還沒齣國前,我對中國的曆史興趣停留在“知道就好”的層次。因為不能自由談論,那麼知道更多有什麼用?再者就是,我們能夠做什麼?齣於年輕的熱血和衝動,我曾經對身處的社會諸多不滿,在網上談論是一種發泄。可是傢人帶著一種神秘的語氣說:有些話,還是不要亂說。我心想:為什麼不能說?老百姓應該有自己話語權。同時也有不少同輩的人說:中國那麼多人,你說我說,太多自由泛濫就控製不瞭。中國就應該接受這樣的統治。      雖然聽上去,一切都很閤理,但是我內心還是不能完全認同。之前跟爸爸說笑,我說,我這樣的人如果放在WG時期,早就被劃成右派死掉瞭。而慶幸的是,我沒有活在那個年代。思想的獨立開放,或者說“懷疑分子”,是政權的大忌,包括我國和西方國傢,政黨對知識分子是又需要又害怕。需要,是因為知識是推進社會的動力,而知識又是質問和推翻政權的動力。      從我自身感受,我不喜歡齣生並生活在中國,並不是中國貧窮落後,而是國內對智力和思想自由的壓抑。我不明白自身的格格不入,我覺得不是社會有問題,而是自己有問題,我沒有很高的覺悟,不喜歡參加班集體活動,不喜歡有問題而不問,不喜歡不公平和走後門的做事方式。我極力想明白自身的矛盾根源而無果。      後來我齣國留學,第一次親身接觸“外麵的世界”。雖然生在南方,看的是香港電視,更多接觸從香港來的外國信息,可是大傢心知肚明這種自由是有限的,特彆是在看香港新聞無端被cut掉一些畫麵就知道。我想知道更多,關於自己的國傢,好的壞的,究竟發生瞭什麼,我們的父母和祖父母經曆過什麼?      在澳洲,我從悉大和社區圖書館看瞭很多在國內看不到的、關於中國的書,一點一滴的,我對中國近現代的瞭解加深。後來得益於跟很多老一輩人的談話,就更是知道關切個人的經曆和感受。對於我們最關切的,依然是自身的處境。瞭解以前,能夠更好處理現在的處境。交大教授說:當年他們對女兒說,在中國你有兩條路,一就是加入黨,成為裏麵人;要麼就是避開,齣國。他們的女兒選擇瞭後者,如同作者一樣,選擇瞭齣國。      不少在國內的人會産生一種扭麯的心理,認為齣國有什麼瞭不起,對國外華人的發言第一個反應是反駁和不接受,認為他們在汙衊祖國和貪戀國外的舒適。作為一個在海外謀生的普通人,我可以說,大部分移民都是踏踏實實謀生,過的跟國內普通百姓沒多少差彆的生活。唯一的不同,可能我們多瞭一個思考的角度,也能夠比較自由去對比和認識自己的祖國。      中國最黑暗的時期過去瞭,但是人們的不安還沒有消失。國傢的保障不可靠,導緻個人必須要為自己存糧;辦事不是靠法律,而是更多的是個人關係;人們為瞭權力而你爭我搶,為的就是更多的生存機會。有人將中國跟颱灣和香港比較,說為什麼大陸就是差那麼一點點?怎麼素質就差那麼一點點。為什麼?如果一個國傢的人們是內心安定滿足的話,就不會産生那麼多不可思議的行為。      為什麼要齣國?其實齣國現象的背後,大傢都心知肚明但是不能揭穿。如果中國真的那麼美好,為什麼高管們都轉移傢産和子女到外國,為什麼普通人傢那麼拼命要孩子齣國留學,甚至有人甘願用犯法手段去齣國?。      我感覺悲哀的,並不是中國的物質,而是中國的精神的壓抑和虛僞。我們罵日本首相參拜靖國神社,說他們不願意承認侵略中國的罪行。可是看看我們的國傢,其實跟日本有什麼不同?我們偉大的領袖還在天安門廣場,深情地俯視著來往的人們,好像這個時代永遠不會結束,謊言long live下去。。      但是我相信,人性可以扭麯一時,但不可能永遠被壓抑。理性始終會迴歸。為什麼要追求知識,追求思想獨立?隻有看得清,纔能抓住機遇,就如同作者一樣。。
