作者简介

Judith Kerr was born in Berlin, the daughter of a distinguished German writer. She left Germany with her family in 1933 to escape from the Nazis and they arrived in England in 1936, having spent the intervening years in Switzerland and France. She has a daughter who is a designer and a son who is a novelist. Judith lives in London.

因为有了听故事的经验，艾琳很容易就集中注意力，而且她对书的兴趣也一直在增长。到4岁时，除了绘本，她也可以听长达100页的长篇故事。当艾琳到了上小学的年龄时，她的母亲决定利用自己多年来的专业教学经验，自己在家教艾琳，而不是把她送到学校。如果送艾琳去学校，第一年的教学对她而言将是多余的，很可能她会因为觉得太无聊而想哭。

---关于这一点我很认同，同时在自己开办图书馆后，也经常被人问道这个问题。诸如，我家孩子还不到一岁，能看书嘛？孩子小，不看书，只喜欢抢书，我怎么办？其实，和孩子讲故事，是一种情感交流，让它和说话一样自然吧。刚开始，可以唱一些儿歌，念一些唐诗，或者读一些自己喜欢的文章给孩子听。孩子并不要求一开始你就教育他，他只希望经常有人陪伴，有人和他说话。
