Agatha Christie was born in 1890 and created the detective Hercule Poirot in her debut novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles (1920). She achieved wide popularity with The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (1926) and produced a total of eighty novels and short-story collections over six decades.

的作者倒是不會這麼粗淺的認為，他把這個世界看透瞭，看的太明白瞭。至於死後是什麼樣子，雖然也有若有若無的描繪，到底隻是他活著時的想象。他給我們留下的那一塊雪地，卻極其象徵瞭人類最後被放逐瞭的末世。盡管在我個人的妄想裏，或許還會繼續醞釀著另一次瑰麗的日齣，但卻與我們生存的這個世界，毫無任何關係。
