作者簡介

Victoria Kann is the award-winning illustrator and author of the picture book series featuring the whimsical and effervescent character Pinkalicious. Victoria coauthored and illustrated the first two books, Pinkalicious and Purplicious, as well as the play Pinkalicious: The Musical. She wrote and illustrated the New York Times number-one bestseller Goldilicious and is working on several more books about the adventures and antics of Pinkalicious. Victoria teaches at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Recently she built a tree house for her Princess Pinkerellas. She often hears galloping in the house and wonders if it is Goldilicious or just her Pinkerbelles.

For beginning readers four to eight. Children's Literature The popular Pinkalicious gets herself into trouble with her best friend. During art class, she borrows her friend Alsion's paints and her friends specifically asks her not to use up all the pink paint, but it happens because that is really Pinkalicious' favorite color. The result is that Alison is angry and leaves in a huff. What can Pinkalicious do to make up with her friend? As a first step Pinkalicious makes a card for Alison to apologize and then asks her if they can still be friends. Alison is gracious and accepts the peace offering and the friends agree to a weekend play date. There is one more thing that Pinkalicious does which leads to a celebration of shared ice cream. Note the different pink flavors on the ice cream parlor menu board. It is a treacley tale but it does have a positive message about friendship and the need to make amends and to forgive.
