假如有两个力，大小方向都不同，用矢量三角形求出它们合力的大小，就把第二个力的尾连上第一个力的头，它们的合力就是第一个力的尾指向第二个力的头的这样一个矢量，画出来之后你可以看到三者构成一个三角形，这就是所谓的矢量三角形。
