　　 王右將軍逸少，晉、宋一流人也。遺情軒冕，擺落世故，蓋其生平雅懷。自去會稽內史，遂不肯復齣。自誓於父母墓下，詞緻確苦。予味其言而深悲之。又讀所與謝萬石書雲：坐而獲逸，遂其宿心。比嘗與安石東遊山海，頤養閑暇之餘，欲與親故時共歡宴，銜杯引滿，語田裏所行，故以為撫掌之資，其為得意，可勝言邪。常依依陸賈、班嗣之處世，老夫誌願盡於此也。

湘湖高丘，草木蔚蓊。維水容裔，維山寵褪。矢其銘詩，詞費以冗。奈何乎公，萬撰毋聳。若韓、孟、籍、徹《會閤聯句》三十四韻，除嫁蛹二字《韻略》不收外，餘皆不齣二腫中，雄奇激越，如大川洪河，不見涯渙，非瑣瑣潢汙行潦之水所可同語也。其詩曰：「離彆言無期，會閤意罙重。病添兒女戀，老喪丈夫勇。劍心知未死，詩思猶孤聳。愁去劇箭飛，讙來若泉湧。析言多新貫，據抱無昔壅。念難須勤追，悔易勿輕踵。吟巴山犖韃，說楚波堆壟。馬辭虎豹怒，舟齣蛟鼂恐。狂鯨時孤軒，幽狄雜百種。瘴衣常腥膩，蠻器多疎冗。剝苔吊斑林，角餃餌沉涿。忽爾銜遠命，歸歟舞新寵。鬼窟脫幽妖，天居觀清拱。京遊步方振，謫夢意猶恂。詩書誇舊知，酒食接新奉。嘉言寫清越，愈病失骯腫。夏陰偶高庇，宵魂接虛擁。雪弦寂寂聽，茗盌縴縴捧。馳輝燭浮螢，幽響泄潛瑩。詩老獨何心，江疾有餘厘。我傢本澶榖，有地介皋鞏。休跡憶沉冥，峩冠慚闆褥。升朝高轡逸，振物羣聽悚。徒言濯幽泌，誰與蘿荒茸。朝紳鬱青綠，馬飾曜珪珙。國讎未銷鑠，我誌蕩邛隴。君纔誠倜儻，時論方洶溶。格言多彪蔚，縣解無梏拳。張生得淵源，寒色拔山塚。堅如撞羣金，眇若抽獨蛹。伊餘何所擬？跛鰲詎能踴。塊然墮嶽石，飄爾罥巢氄。龍旆垂天衢，雲韶凝禁甬。君鬍眠安然，朝鼓聲洶洶。其間或有類句，然眾手立成，理如是也。
